Our own analytics

Our analytics is Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is cookieless. It records page views and general technical information such as browser type, device type, approximate country and the referring page. It sets no cookies, does not fingerprint your device and does not follow you to other websites.

Advertising cookies

Some pages carry adverts served by Google AdSense. Google and its advertising partners use cookies and similar technologies to show adverts, to stop you seeing the same one too often, to measure how adverts perform and to detect fraud. With your consent, they also use them to show adverts based on your interests, worked out from your visits to this and other websites.

When you first visit, Google shows a message asking whether you agree to this. You can accept, refuse, or choose which purposes to allow. If you refuse, you may still see adverts, but they will not be based on your interests. Your choice is stored in a cookie so that you are not asked on every page.

You can change your mind at any time using Cookie choices at the bottom of every page. You can also turn off personalised advertising from Google across the web inGoogle's Ads Settings, and readhow Google uses information from sites that use its services.

Local storage

Our calculators run entirely in your browser and send nothing anywhere. Where a tool remembers a setting between visits, it does so in your browser's own local storage, which never reaches us and which you can clear at any time through your browser settings.

Other third parties

Two more things on this site are operated by others, and they follow their own policies:

• The quote form, operated by Leads Do Work Ltd. It may set cookies when you interact with it.
• The report a price form, handled by Web3Forms.

Neither runs until you reach a page that carries it. See our privacy policy for what each one collects, and what Google receives when it shows an advert.
