John B

John edits the window and door guides on this site and keeps the price data up to date. Each price is compiled from published UK sources, cited on the page it supports, and reviewed on the date shown in its byline.

The guides are written from what appears on a real quote: what the window or door is, where the money goes, which lines move once the work starts, and what to ask before you sign.

What these pages are, and are not

They are independent guidance for homeowners, not advice from an installer or a manufacturer. Where a guide covers VAT, Building Regulations or finance, the figure or rule comes from its primary source, such as an HMRC notice or an Approved Document, and the page links to it. If you are relying on one of those, follow the link.

How to reach him

If a price on this site does not match what you have been quoted, use thereport a price form. It comes straight to us and it is the main way these figures get corrected.
